The Miniature Schnauzer was bred down to miniature size from their larger cousin, the Standard Schnauzer to work as barnyard ratters. Today, however. the Mini Schnauzer is more known as a beloved and attractive furry companion and holds the highest AKC registrations of the three Schnauzer breeds.

History

The Miniature Schnauzer has intelligence, affection, an extroverted temperament, humor, and a personality that’s twice as big as they are. They are vocal puppies, but this breed will make a great addition to a family who likes to keep busy. A natural hunter, inquisitive and spritely, the Miniature Schnauzer is ready for action at all times.

    The Miniature Schnauzer is affectionate with the family and good with children. It is an outgoing extrovert who loves being the center of attention. Mini Schnauzer puppies are smart and can be easy to train with enough patience and consistency. They are eager to please and have high energy.
