Origin:

Though the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise breeds may have been mixed before, one breeder who claims to have created the Cavachon in 1996 is Gleneden.

History

The Cavachon is a mix of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise. Cavachons are sweet and fluffy puppies that make great companions for those with young children or those who live in apartments. Lively, affectionate and playful, Cavachon puppies are content being active or relaxing next to their owners.

Color

The standard colors are white, apricot and white, white with black markings, or black with tan markings.

Behavior

  • Temperament

    Cavachons are friendly, sweet, gentle, mild-mannered, and playful. They are generally good with children and other pets in the household. Cavachon puppies love spending time with their loved ones. While they may bark at strangers, they generally do not make good guard dogs.
